Damian Priest and the Judgment Day have set their sights on Gunther and the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
On the February 26 episode of WWE RAW, WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther came to the ring with his Imperium stablemates Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. He commented on defeating Jey Uso to retain the gold the previous week. “The Ring General” then brought up WrestleMania 40 and questioned who he would be facing. He named Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, and R-Truth as some of the options he had been hearing.
Damian Priest and the Judgment Day interrupted. Priest told Gunther that the Judgment Day planned to win more gold at WrestleMania, and that included Gunther’s title. Dominik Mysterio got in Gunther’s face and told him the title belonged to the Judgment Day. Tensions rose, and Priest’s stablemates held him back as he again declared that the faction would be taking Gunther’s title.
Priest currently holds the Money in the Bank briefcase, so he has the right to cash in on the title of his choosing.
Earlier in the show on Monday, Gunther briefly confronted Sami Zayn after the latter defeated Shinsuke Nakamura.
