Triple H Believes Everybody Will Be Watching WWE As They Transition To Netflix Next Year

Triple H looks forward to seeing WWE programming on Netflix.

Last week, WWE revealed that their flagship show — WWE RAW — will soon find itself in a new home in 2025. This deal, which is reportedly worth $5 billion over 10 years, will see RAW move to Netflix in several territories, such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Latin America.

In addition, Netflix will be the new foundation for all WWE shows (including RAW, SmackDown, and NXT), specials, and premium live events outside of the United States as available. Netflix will also provide international access to several WWE documentaries, original series, and future projects beginning in 2025.

Following the 2024 Royal Rumble event, WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque shared his reaction to the agreement, outlining his excitement in expanding WWE’s reach on the popular streaming service.

“My reaction to that deal is holy s***. It’s amazing,” Levesque said at the Royal Rumble press conference. “How will it change sports and entertainment is actually the better phrasing, I think, of the question. I think the world sees a shifting ecosystem when it comes to where people consume and view things. And in a moment when you see a lot of people dipping their toe in the water of streaming services and trying different things. Since the beginning, WWE has been the ground-breakers and first movers. You saw it back in the beginning with closed-circuit TV. Saw WWE at the forefront and almost making the pay-per-view industry. You saw it when we started the WWE Network, when streaming was just a little bit of a thing and people weren’t sure if it was even going to work, and we jumped into streaming, and it worked.”

“People saw it, and they followed what we did, and they followed it in their way. We jumped out of our own streaming service because of the bundling and took to a larger carrier with Peacock. Now you see this move into streaming where, the NFL, soccer, everybody are dipping their toe into that.”

“Everybody will be watching this, everybody. Hopefully, everybody will be watching the shows, but they will be watching to see what takes place here. We are once again in front of that. It is an incredible feeling. When you talk about a deal that is 10 years, $5 billion, it is hard not to be excited about this. This is an incredible week.”
