Jim Ross Believes The Undertaker Could Have One More Match

Jim Ross isn’t saying it’ll happen, but he thinks The Undertaker could still deliver a great match.

The Undertaker was the topic for Ross and Conrad Thompson on Grilling JR this week. Ross discussed The Phenom’s durability and said he believes he could still turn in a high-quality match at this stage of his career.

“That’s the key thing, you could always count on the guy. I said earlier — and I’m not trying to advertise or trying to promote another match for Taker at this stage — but quite honestly, he could still go out there and have one great match with the right opponent,” Jim Ross explained. “He’s just so skilled, I think he’d bring out the best in that opponent. So I’m — we both are — huge fans of the man, and that’s to me, more important than being a huge fan of the worker.

He’s a natural-born coach

“The man that played that role is extraordinary, and he still is to this very day. Taker will always contribute to the success of WWE to some degree. I can’t imagine the talents — if Taker’s at an arena, at an event, that the talents wouldn’t flock to him and ask questions and to get feedback. He’s always — you can always tell when a talent was happy to help other talent,” Ross added. Taker had a great skill set for that, quite frankly. He liked helping. He’s a natural-born coach and a mentor, and he had great pride in what the company was building. It’s interesting in that regard.”

The Undertaker’s last match was the Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36 against AJ Styles. He has made sporadic appearances on WWE TV since then, and was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2022.
