The rivalry between Kiana James and Roxanne Perez reached new heights at WWE NXT Deadline.
James and Perez have been feuding for a number of weeks, as they have cost each other matches on multiple occasions. They have also brawled backstage, and the two foes had an altercation at the WWE Performance Center. As the bad blood reached a boiling point, they clashed in a Steel Cage match at NXT Deadline.
Perez and James battled it out, and they even fought on top of the cage. James tried to climb out of the cage through the door, but Perez stopped her. However, James got a chair and brought it into the ring. Perez blocked it, and the former NXT Women’s Champion was seemingly closing in on the win when someone slammed the cage door into her. The attacker was identified as Izzy Dame.
James then pinned Perez with the Deal-Breaker for the win. After the bell, James celebrated with Dame to solidify their alliance.
