There are still things The Miz wants to accomplish in his WWE career.
RAW Superstar The Miz recently sat down with TNT Sports. When asked if he has anything left to accomplish in WWE, Miz said he wants to break some records when it comes to the Intercontinental Championship.
“Break the record for most days of having the Intercontinental Championship and most reigns,” The Miz said. “Like I’m one reign away from being tied for being number one, and I’m, I think 25 days away from having the title the most out of anyone. I think Pedro Morales has me beat right now by like 25 days. So that would be a pretty cool feat. It’d be just another accolade to add to my already pretty stout career.”
The Miz comments on the importance of winning a championship in WWE
When asked if stats and accolades were important to him, Miz said they were and expressed how much winning a title in WWE means to people.
“Is it important to me? Yeah, I mean, I want titles,” The Miz said. “I think every superstar that comes to WWE, you want a title. You want one. Like look what Logan Paul is doing with the United States Championship, like he’s wearing it. Doing photo shoots with it because you’re proud.
“Like this is something that has a long lineage that has a history that people have worn and have fought for, and to have the ability to hoist it up and say, yeah, I won. It’s amazing to me, and so you can say whatever you want about WWE, but when you win a championship, there is quite nothing like it because it is very, very difficult to do.
“And you might be like, ah, no, it seems — it’s not. People put years, blood, sweat, and tears honing in their craft, locking it in, and never, never hold a title in WWE. Maybe they should? Absolutely. But sometimes it’s just your number isn’t called. And I’ve been fortunate enough to hold them all.”
