The wrestling world had wanted to see Trinity (f.k.a. Naomi) back inside a wrestling ring for several months. Their wish came true a couple of months ago when the former WWE Superstar made her IMPACT Wrestling debut. She is now the Knockouts Champion.
Recently, Denise Salcedo interviewed the IMPACT Wrestling star. During the interview, Trinity revealed that her goal was always to become a champion in the promotion.
“Yes that was my goal coming in. But I had no idea how long it would take. And I was willing and ready to do whatever I had to do to accomplish this goal. It’s just been an incredible journey. All of it. The whole experience with IMPACT.”
The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion also shared her experience about the moment when she captured the Knockouts Championship.
“It was very surreal. I was so nervous. And so there was so much to prepare for and so much unexpected things that I stressed about because I want every performance to be perfect and be my best. But you just have no control over that. When you’re wrestling in front of a live crowd you never know what’s going to happen. So I think I really didn’t have time to think or process the getting through it in the win. I was just so like… Just in it. And then when it was finally over, it was just such a just surreal, and, relief and, happiness, and just like a overwhelming flow of joy, and tears, and everything, and having my sis Sasha, or Mercedes, and Cerona show up, it was, it was… I couldn;t ask for a better, a better night,” Trinity said.
