Lexis King‘s journey as an NXT Superstar is officially underway.
After a number of vignettes in recent weeks, Lexis King, formerly known as Brian Pillman Jr., made his televised in-ring debut on the October 24 episode of WWE NXT. On the opening night of the NXT Halloween Havoc special, King made his way to the ring, and he raised some eyebrows before he stepped into the squared circle. King came out sitting in a throne, and fog filled the stage.
As for the match itself, King faced Dante Chen. The NXT newcomer showcased plenty of aggression and controlled the action. Chen tried to rally, but a superkick and a rope-hung twisting neckbreaker put him down for the count.
Pillman Jr. left AEW in July, as his contract expired. He then signed with WWE and started with NXT at the end of August. He appeared on the October 10 episode of NXT and revealed his new name was Lexis King.
