Tony Khan had a pretty, pretty, pretty good comeback for a recent report about the ongoing “battle” between AEW and NXT.
On Tuesday, Haus Of Wrestling published a report that claimed a WWE source said NXT would be “a very clear example of how and why WWE is WWE, and why AEW has a long way to go.” It was noted that Khan had “poked the wrong ones at the wrong time” and that AEW was lulled into a false sense of reality that it was an industry leader.
In addition, the WWE source noted Tuesday is also Tony Khan’s 41st birthday, and it was implied that WWE was fine with spoiling his personal milestone AND AEW’s night.
Well, Tony Khan saw the report and responded in kind, posting the following:
The image is a screenshot from “Trick or Treat”, the third episode of Season 2 of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. The episode features Larry David’s character refusing to give out Halloween candy to teenagers who are not wearing costumes. As a result, the teens return and toilet paper his house and spray paint “Bald Asshole” across his front door.
“‘Bald asshole?’ That’s a hate crime. We consider ourselves to be a group.”

Both AEW Dynamite and NXT are commercial-free for the first 30 minutes on Tuesday night. AEW will also have a Buy-In pre-show at 7:30 pm EST.
Khan also used a Curb meme to announce the Buy-In show on Monday night. Check out the updated lineup for both shows here.
