New Japan Pro-Wrestling has announced some changes to NJPW Destruction in Ryogoku on October 9.
NJPW confirmed that the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship bout will now be a Lumberjack Match. SANADA will defend the gold against EVIL, and the champion noted that he hoped the lumberjacks would make it a fair fight.
Additionally, a star-studded eight-man tag team match has been added to the card. Tetsuya Naito and Jeff Cobb will face off as Los Ingobernables De Japon (Naito, Shingo Takagi, Yota Tsuji, and BUSHI) battles United Empire (Cobb, HENARE, Great-O-Khan, and Callum Newman). Naito defeated Cobb at NJPW Destruction in Kobe.
