AEW Dynamite viewership saw a slight decrease on August 23.
According to Wrestlenomics, 870,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.32 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is slightly down from last week’s episode when 874,000 viewers tuned in. The demo stayed even from last week‘s episode, which also drew a 0.32 rating in the same demographic.
We currently don’t know if AEW Dynamite ranked number one on cable for Wednesday in the 18-49 demo.
What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?
This week’s show kicked off with a trios match between The Elite and Bullet Club Gold that resulted in a no-contest. Following the match, FTR and Konosuke Takeshita got involved on their respective sides to continue the build for All In on Sunday.
This episode also saw the return of Santana and Ortiz as the Blackpool Combat Club took out Rey Fenix, eliminating him from Sunday’s Stadium Stampede match at All In.
In the main event, Aussie Open defeated The Hardys. To close the show, MJF and Adam Cole confronted Aussie Open.
