Bryan Danielson says Blackpool Combat Club should never break up.
Danielson, Jon Moxley, and William Regal formed Blackpool Combat Club in March 2022. The group later added Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli. Regal left AEW at the end of 2022, but the group is still going strong.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Danielson made it clear that he loves Blackpool Combat Club, and he believes the faction should stay together.
“I love this group,” Danielson said. “This should be a group that never breaks up. Mox and I have wrestled since the BCC started, we wrestled in the championship tournament [last fall]. That didn’t cause any disturbances in the BCC. That’s the story of the BCC. When the BCC loses, we’ll shake hands and go back to training the next day.”
Danielson also highlighted the genuine connection within the Blackpool Combat Club. He also shared that Regal is still in their group chat.
“Our connection as a group feels real,” Danielson said. “That’s because it is. The story is we train together and we make each other better. The reality is that wrestling together, we do make each other better. Even when Regal left, we didn’t break. And he’s still on our BCC group chat.”
According to a recent report, Danielson is expected to return in October. He has been out of action since he injured his arm at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, where he defeated Kazuchika Okada. More information is available here.
