LA Knight Can’t Put A Finger On What Caused His Rise Of Popularity In WWE

The WWE Universe continues to grow louder for LA Knight with each passing week.

SmackDown Superstar LA Knight was a recent guest on Good Karma Wrestling. When asked how different WWE feels compared to other companies he’s competed in over the last decade, Knight said it’s a totally different playing field.

“I mean, now you’re talking about the big stage; it’s just a totally different playing field,” LA Knight said. And you guys have been watching me, and you guys have known me, and there is a little pocket of the audience that’s the same way. But for a large swathe of this audience man, I’m fresh meat.

“I’m brand new to a lot of these people who never knew any of the places that I was before this. So that’s kind of the cool thing. The fact that it’s not only resonating with people who knew me before but with the people who know now. And it’s because — look, I can’t put my finger on it. But as far as I can tell, as far as I can guess.

“I’m just a little bit something different. Some people say it’s a little bit something throwback, a little bit something new, all mixed together. And that’s exactly what it is. And so if that’s the case, and that’s grabbing people’s attention, then hell yeah, let’s keep going.”

When asked how it makes him feel to be compared to WWE Legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, Knight said he hears all the compliments and criticisms regarding the comparisons. But at the end of the day, he will just continue being himself.

“Well, whether it’s a compliment or criticism, I hear everything,” LA Knight said. “I see everything, and look; I’ll give any criticism an honest look. But at the end of the day, I’m gonna keep doing what I do. And what I do is me; what I do is LA Knight. And if you want to make me the Kobe to their Jordan, I’ll take it. But at the end of the day, for me, it’s rising above and beyond both of those guys and everybody else around.”
