Early WWE SmackDown Numbers Rebound Greatly With Return To FOX

WWE SmackDown returned to FOX on July 28 and got back the viewership they lost last week on FS1.

SmackDown aired on FS1 due to the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Despite numbers dropping, they were the strongest SmackDown has ever done in its history of appearing on the channel.

According to the latest Fast Nationals data, SmackDown’s audience was significantly improved compared to the last time they were on FS1 last December.

This week’s episode of SmackDown drew 2.166 million viewers, which is the same viewership they scored on July 14 on FOX. In addition to the viewership, the 18-49 demo was 771K, which is up 2% from the last episode on FOX.

WWE SmackDown was reportedly the number-one show on television Friday night.

This week‘s episode of SmackDown featured Main Event Jey Uso being confronted by Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman. The segment furthered the build to their upcoming Tribal Combat match at SummerSlam.
