Dominik Mysterio Is Blessed, Very Happy With WrestleMania Match Against Rey Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio is content with how his match with his father came off at WrestleMania.

Speaking with Kenny McIntosh for Inside The Ropes, Dominik Mysterio reflected on his match against Rey Mysterio, going from competing in an empty Performance Center to the big stage at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles.

“It’s a huge blessing. I’m very fortunate and very thankful to be a part of this, and all the opportunities that have been given to me. It’s so crazy, thinking that a could years ago, I was watching my dad and Samoa Joe going at it [at WrestleMania 35] and I posted a picture, and my dad was like, ‘This will be your stage soon.’ Next thing you know, I’m wrestling him in LA, two hours away from home in San Diego, and 80,000 people. I get my own entrance. It’s a very surreal moment. I’m very blessed, and I’m very happy to be a part of it. It was very crazy.”

Dominik said he was happy with the match and he remains thankful for getting that spot.

“Yeah, I was happy with it. I think at the time, there were so many moving parts throughout just that weekend alone, with the Hall of Fame and leading up to it, from a live event and TVs and all the media that we had to do and stuff, there was so much going on that I didn’t have a chance to enjoy it in the moment because I was so worried about it the match was good or whatnot, that after everything had settled, I got back to my hotel room and was able to watch it back. I was very happy with it. But overall, I was happy with everything, and I was just very happy and very thankful for the opportunity.”
