Cody Rhodes will get his opportunity to beat Brock Lesnar, as the pair will officially face off at WWE Backlash.
During tonight’s episode of RAW, Rhodes made his way down to the ring, and was immediately met by Adam Pearce, who begged him to leave as Rhodes was still not medically cleared to participate in wrestling activities. Rhodes pretended to leave, but quickly grabbed a chair from under the ring and got back in, forcing Pearce to call out security to come and get him.
Before they could take Rhodes out of the ring, though, out came Brock Lesnar. As the two stared at each other from the ring and ramp, Pearce quickly cut in and told Rhodes he’d grant a match at Backlash, and once again begged Rhodes to stop.
With the match official, Lesnar began taunting Rhodes, telling him to come get him. Rhodes attempted to do so, but was quickly stopped by security, and the segment ended with Lesnar walking off and Rhodes fighting with the officials.
