Jay White is All Elite.
AEW wasted no time in making headlines during the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite. Before Ricky Starks vs. Juice Robinson could get started in the opening match, free agent Jay White attacked Starks from behind. White and Robinson then double-teamed him for a couple minutes before retreating and the match was ruled a no contest.
Immediately following the segment, Tony Khan confirmed via Twitter that White has signed with the company.
This isn’t White’s first AEW appearance as he first popped up in February 2022 and defeated Trent Beretta. He also successfully defended the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship in a four-way match at Forbidden Door in June but hasn’t been seen in AEW since.
White lost a “Loser Leaves NJPW” match to Eddie Kingston in February before his NJPW contract was reportedly set to expire.
