Cody Rhodes is ready for his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, and in a brief promo during the March 13 episode of WWE RAW, he said that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion needs to acknowledge him.
After beating LA Knight in a singles match on Monday, Rhodes grabbed a microphone and issued a statement to Paul Heyman. He said he doesn’t work for Heyman, and that while Heyman keeps telling him not to make it persona, it’s been personal since day one.
He then said that while Paul wants him to acknowledge Reigns, “The Tribal Chief: should be acknowledging him. Rhodes said he’s been waiting his whole life, and his moment will come at WrestleMania 39.
“The American Nightmare” stated that, on April 2, he’ll pin Reigns and become the first person in his family to say that he’s the world champion in WWE.
