Kurt Angle still drinks milk, but double knee surgery led him to switch things up a bit.
Angle and milk have been synonymous in WWE, including the infamous milk truck incident in 2001 and Angle’s recent SmackDown birthday bash. (It’s true, it’s damn true!)
Speaking on The A2theK Wrestling Show, Kurt Angle was asked about his affinity for drinking milk. Angle says he still drinks milk every day, but now it’s skim milk to keep his weight down after his double knee surgery.
“Well, with my new knee replacements, I have to keep my weight down,” Angle noted, “so it’s now skim. It was whole milk, then it went to 2%. Now it’s skim. But I love milk, I drink it every day, and it’s my favorite drink.”
Asked how he’s doing after knee surgery, Angle said it’s been a long process but he’s making good progress.
“I’m doing well. I will tell you this, it’s a long process. I was improving dramatically the first few months, and I kinda hit a wall where my knees are sore all the time, and I’m not sure if this is gonna last forever. But I do rehab them every day. I don’t know if I’m overtraining them. I might be, I might not be. But at this point in time, I’m doing really well. My legs are stronger now than they were before the surgery, so that’s a bonus. I’m just gonna keep training and keep training my legs until I feel 100%.”
