Samoa Joe will defend the ROH World Television Championship on the November 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a tweet on October 31, AEW president Tony Khan announced that Brian Cage will challenge for the gold. Cage and The Embassy attacked Joe and Wardlow at the end of the October 28 episode of AEW Rampage. The two powerhouses have been at odds in recent weeks, as Cage has targeted Joe’s title while his stablemates, the Gates of Agony, unsuccessfully challenged FTR for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Joe and Wardlow came to FTR’s aid in that rivalry, setting the stage for this showdown by extension.
After weeks of altercations between @ringofhonor World TV Champion @SamoaJoe and #theEmbassy's @briancagegmsi these two will fight for the title LIVE on Wednesday!
