WWE will crown new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
During the May 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, the reigning champions, Naomi and Sasha Banks, were suspended indefinitely and stripped of the titles when they walked out of RAW the previous Monday. At the time, the company announced that it would hold a tournament for the gold, but no additional information was provided.
Over two months later, on the August 5 episode of SmackDown, Michael Cole announced the tournament will begin on the August 8 edition of RAW.
It’s currently unclear who will compete in the tournament.
