Bianca Belair is ready for her redemption story this weekend against Becky Lynch at WWE SummerSlam.
The RAW Women’s Champion recently sat down with Lanae Brody of PEOPLE to discuss her match against Becky Lynch at WWE SummerSlam. When asked about last year’s match at SummerSlam against Lynch, Belair called it one of the lowest points of her career.
“SummerSlam was one of the lowest points of my career,” Bianca Belair said. “Losing the title [in] 26 seconds in front of all of your fans. It’s my redemption story.”
Belair hopes to close out her SummerSlam chapter by defeating Becky Lynch this weekend to allow everything to come full circle.
“My goal is to walk out as champion this time and be the person that gets to write the final chapter in this book,” Bianca Belair said. “[I want to] close this SummerSlam book and walk out on top as Raw Women’s champion.”
Bianca Belair’s husband, Montez Ford of The Street Profits, will also be in action at SummerSlam as he and his partner Angelo Dawkins will challenge The Usos for the Undisputed WWE World Tag Team Titles. Belair said she’s blessed to be doing what she loves with the person that she loves.
“I’m blessed to do what I love with the person that I love,” Bianca Belair said, smiling. “He’s the person there that, when I lose the title in 26 seconds at SummerSlam, after I come through that curtain, he’s the person I get to lean on.”
