Paul “Triple H” Levesque previously told people at the WWE Performance Center that he’s “back”, and it was easy to assume that he meant he’d be working with NXT again. However, a new update has reportedly dismissed these rumors.
In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer reported that, though “The Game” said he was back when he went to the Performance Center, he seemingly meant that he was working at the WWE office again. Meltzer noted that he hasn’t been directly involved with NXT since he made the statement. Per Meltzer, Triple H has not attended the tapings, as Shawn Michaels is still running the show alongside the creative staff.
Triple H is widely known as “The Father of NXT”, as he was in charge of the brand throughout the black-and-gold era before the 2.0 rebrand and his cardiac event last fall. He returned to work in March, albeit with a decreased workload, and he has been involved with the NIL program, as well as talent scouting and acquisition.
