Octagon Jr. (former WWE Superstar Kalisto) has arrived in Major League Wrestling.
The company is wasting no time getting Octagon Jr. into the mix as he will compete against El Hijo de LA Park, El Dragon, and King Muertes in a Cyclone Match for the Caribbean title next week on MLW Fusion.
The following is the transcription of Octagon Jr’s segment from MLW Fusion tonight, explaining his arrival to the company:
Born in Mexico, Octagon Jr. was a tenacious loner. Showing promise while competing against some of Lucha’s best, preparing for the inevitable. And then it came, the call to follow in the footsteps of his predecessor and travel to the east, where two clans have waged war for generations. The yin to the other’s yang. Those who have donned the Octagon mask have waged war against the dark arts of their rival clan in a never-ending conflict. Embarking on a journey of combat in knowledge, Octagon Jr. trained in the ancient fighting arts in his clan’s sacred Dojo but to be the master. He had to not only train in all fighting styles but conquer all that challenged his clan. And now it is his time to ascend. The MLW ring calls out to this boy to fight with fury. He is Octagon Jr., and he is The Golden Assassin.
For those curious about the Octagon Jr. name, it’s the name he used before he signed with WWE in 2013.
This isn’t Kalisto’s first major appearance following his WWE release, as he also appeared on the November 3, 2021, episode of AEW Dynamite. Competing as Samuray del Sol, he teamed up with Aero Star in a losing effort against FTR for the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
