Konosuke Takeshita will make his AEW Rampage debut on May 6.
AEW announced the news during the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite. Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt subsequently cut a promo about the announcement and criticized the way Takeshita was getting a “red carpet” ahead of the bout. Hoping to get the same treatment, Lethal challenged him to a singles bout on the May 6 episode of AEW Rampage. In a promo on Wednesday night, Samoa Joe vowed to give Takeshita backup, as Lethal will be accompanied to ringside by Dutt and Satnam Singh.
