Tonight marks the final WWE SmackDown before WrestleMania 38, and to kick off the show, Madcap Moss walked away as the surprise winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
In a match that surprisingly did not last very long to kick off the show, Moss made short work of the other competitors, which included Finn Bálor, Dolph Ziggler, and Robert Roode. After some back-and-forth chaos between everyone inside of the ring, Moss eventually stunned the crowd by toppling four superstars over the ropes at once, eliminating Ziggler and Roode in one swing, leaving just Bálor and himself in the ring.
After hanging in and sliding back into the ring, Bálor tried to gain the upper hand, knocking down Moss for a moment. However, as Bálor charged at him, Moss quickly threw him over the ropes, eliminating him and securing the victory for himself. After celebrating for a bit with the trophy, Moss then took the microphone at ringside and said that he’s looked up to Andre the Giant forever, and that he won this all by himself and would cherish it.
Moss joins Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman and Jey Uso as winners of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
