Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Deonna Purrazzo has some unusual goals in her life outside the world of professional wrestling.
IMPACT Wrestling‘s Deonna Purrazzo was a recent guest on Rasslin’ with Brandon F. Walker to discuss a variety of subjects. During the interview, Purrazzo revealed that it’s her dream to meet “Jersey Shore” star Snooki and that she was very jealous of the AEW roster who got to meet her at Dynamite a few weeks back.
“It’s my dream to meet Snooki. I love her. I love her so much,” Purrazzo saod. “And she was at AEW a couple of weeks ago when it was here in Jersey, and I was very, very, very jealous of the people that got to meet Snooki.”
The Virtuosa also continued to reveal her “Jersey Shore” fandom when she compared her friendship with Chelsea Green to the friendship of Snooki and JWoww.
“She’s JWoww. I’m Snooki. She’s J-Woww,” Purrazzo said. “In our friendship, I’m the Snooki; she’s the JWoww. Cause I’m from Jersey. Chelsea’s not from Jersey, and I’m short one of the two of us. I’m probably the drunker one of the two of us, and Snooki running on the beach is her iconic moment. I feel like, at some point in my life, I might replicate that.”
In another highlight, “The Virtuosa” described how her first name actually happened by accident.
“But Deonna, the name was an accident,” Purrazzo revealed. “My name was the combination of Donna and Dina, and my dad said ‘Deonna, no no that’s not what I meant,’ and my mom said, ‘That’s what it is. Her name is Deonna.'”
When asked why names like Donna and Dina would ever be considered, to begin with, Deonna explained her brother is a twin, and her parents wanted them to both have the same first and last initial to their first names.
“I have a twin brother. His name is Dominic,” Purrazzo said. “And so they were just going through D’s because they wanted us to have the same first and last initial.”
