Jonathan Gresham and Ace Romero are two of the first three names wXw has announced for the 2022 wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament.
wXW shared the news in a tweet on Monday. The promotion named Gresham, a former ROH Pure Champion, and Romero, a former IMPACT Wrestling star who currently competes on the independent circuit, and Fuminori Abe, the reigning ZERO1 World & International Junior Heavyweight Champion, as entrants.

The tournament will kick off on March 4, and it will conclude on March 6.
The wXw 16 Carat Gold Tournament has been held every year since 2006, though it was cancelled in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past, stars like Ilja Dragunov, Zack Sabre Jr., Tommy End (Malakai Black), Chris Hero, and El Generico (Sami Zayn), and Walter have won the tournament.
