Rhea Ripley believes that she’s destined to feud with Charlotte Flair for the rest of her career.
During a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast, “The Nightmare” made it clear that she’s not done with “The Queen” yet. Though they’ve seemingly gone their separate ways since Flair won the RAW Women’s Championship in a Triple Threat Match with Ripley at WWE SummerSlam, she remains determined to avenge her high-profile losses to Flair. (“The Queen” defeated Ripley in title matches at WWE SummerSlam, Money in the Bank 2021, and WrestleMania 36.)
“Yeah, there’s definitely unfinished business there,” said Ripley. “Right now, I’m living my best life in the tag team with Nikki A.S.H. But I know that it will definitely go back to me and Charlotte at some stage. I feel like we’re going to be feuding for the rest of our careers at this point because she’s just like my number one nemesis and it never really ends with Charlotte. And I still have to get my one up on her. So I’m fighting for it, I really, really am. It’s gonna happen one day.”
Flair isn’t the only reigning Women’s Champion that Ripley is targeting; “The Nightmare” also stated that she wants to face SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch again after their previous encounter (in 2019) was ruined by outside interference. The interview was recorded for the WWE Draft, and Ripley was drafted to RAW on the first night. As of this writing, Lynch hasn’t been drafted yet.
“I do love being on RAW, but I really want to step in the ring with Becky again,” said Ripley. ‘I got to wrestle her once in NXT, and it got cut short by Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn [Duke] and Marina [Shafir], so I would love to step in the ring with her again and become a Grand Slam Champion.
“That day will come and my time will come. Whether it’s this draft or next draft, I have no idea, but I’m down for a fight whenever, so if Becky wants to fight me, then I’m ready.”
