NJPW STRONG Results (10/2) Team Filthy Runs The Show, Man of the Hour In Action

New Japan Pro Wrestling of America presented another edition of NJPW STRONG on Saturday. The show was headlined by Tom Lawlor defending the STRONG Openweight Championship against recent-AEW signee Lio Rush. But the Team Filthy leader wasn’t the only one in action.

Team Filthy was featured in all three matches on this week’s STRONG, with Team Filthy ending the show with a two wins and a loss. The loss came at the hands of former-Team Filthy member Chris Dickinson, who battered and stretched Royce Isaacs in a stellar bout.

JR Kratos picked up a dominant win over independent sensation Fred Yehi.

The main event, originally taped as part of Lio Rush’s commitments after announcing his retirement earlier this summer. With the recent news that Rush has signed with All Elite Wrestling, the match took on an extra edge as “NJPW vs. AEW.” STRONG is quickly becoming the battlefield for all of the “forbidden door” companies.
