Paul Wight thought he only had to worry about QT Marshall and The Factory, but now he has one less ally in Billy Gunn.
Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Paul Wight attacked by someone he thought had his back in Billy Gunn. QT Marshall went to the ring on Wednesday night and called Wight out, but he wasn’t alone as he was flanked by a group of his Factory students. Wight ended up cleaning house on his own, but Gunn Club ran to the ring as QT retreated and grabbed a chair at ringside.
It looked like the Gunn Show was there to even the odds and make sure no one else came after Wight, as Billy stood armed with the chair he had taken away. Wight talked trash to QT, but to the shock of everyone, Billy then smacked Wight in his surgically-repaired hip with the chair. Wight turned and tried to make sense of the attack, but Gunn hit him once more in the head as the commentary team shamed him for the attack, with Excalibur noting Billy’s ‘scumbag sons,’ Austin and Colten, were just looking on as it happened.
Both of Billy’s sons, Austin and Colten, commented on the incident after the show ended, with Austin claiming it was “nothing personal” against Paul. Colten later took issue with Excalibur’s remark and said they were just making a statement, and he really meant “Sons of a Gunn.”
