Jinder Mahal is back in the spotlight on WWE RAW, where he’s currently engaged in a personal feud with former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre.
But the “Modern Day Maharaja” has his sights set on a man who currently holds some gold — Karrion Kross.
In an interview with Karan Prashant Saxena of the Hindustan Times, Mahal named Kross as the champion he’d like to face because this potential clash would present a new match, both for Mahal and the fans.
“I would say Karrion Kross, just because I have not had that match-up yet,” said Mahal. “I have had matches with Bobby Lashley, I have had matches with Roman Reigns. Karrion Kross brings something new to the WWE, something unique.”
To elaborate, Mahal stated that Kross is “mysterious”, and he brings a remarkable mix of technical and striking abilities with him every time he steps into the ring. The former WE Champion also noted that he matches up fairly well with Kross’ size.
He has that mysterious side. He is very unpredictable. He is great in the ring, he is very technical. He brings that blend of mixed-martial arts – striking and submissions to the ring. So, I think Karrion Kross would make a good match-up. I think he is very similar in size to me, roughly the same height, roughly the same body type.”
Now that Kross and Mahal are both on the red brand, this bout is possible; fans will just have to wait and see whether it happens.
