Thanks to Commander Azeez, Apollo Crews has enjoyed a successful run on WWE Friday Night SmackDown. This week, Azeez made his in-ring debut when he teamed up with Crews to face Big E and Kevin Owens. In the end, a late distraction from Sami Zayn cost Owens a shot at a win.

Crews and Big E started off the match, and the New Day star gained control early on by double-teaming the champion with Owens. But once Azeez entered the match, he quickly gained the upper hand. Still, despite the dominance of Azeez, Owens and his partner had a chance to win the bout after “KO” hit Crews with a pop-up powerbomb, but Azeez broke up the pin
Late in the match, Owens found himself outside of the ring, where Zayn distracted. After Owens got back into the ring, Azeez dropped him with the Nigerian Nail. Azeez then pinned the WWE Universal Champion for the win.

After the match, Azeez hit Owens with another Nigerian Nail. Backstage, Zayn celebrated Owens’ misery, and “The Prizefighter” demanded a match with Zayn. WWE official Adam Pearce then booked the match for WWE Hell in a Cell.
