This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite opened with a buzzworthy match between Ricky Starks and “Hangman” Adam Page. After the former AEW World Tag Team Champion defeated Starks, Team Taz attacked the fan-favorite star, but the Dark Order quickly came to Page’s rescue.

During their match, Page gained the decisive advantage in the closing moments by trapping him in a chokehold submission. Using Starks’ wounded ankle against him, Page wrenched the submission hold and forced Starks to tap out. Following the match, Taz, who had joined the commentary team for the match, yelled at Page in order to distract him.

With Pag’s back turned, Hook ran into the ring and hit Page with a chop-block from behind. Brian Cage then joined the fray and was prepared to hit Page with his finisher, but The Dark Order came running to the ring, so they saved Page from suffering any further damage.
