Darby Allin Jumps Off Lighting Rig, Retains TNT Title Against Matt Hardy

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite ended with a Falls Count Anywhere Match between Matt Hardy and Darby Allin for the TNT Championship. In a match that saw both superstars take the fight outside of the ring, Allin emerged victorious. He retained his title by scoring an impressive victory over Hardy.

The match was chaotic from the start, as Hardy quickly grabbed a chair and tried to attack Allin with it. Halfway through this assault, the Hardy Family Office helped Hardy beat Allin up. But the Dark Order came to Allins’ rescue, along with Sting. They helped clear the ring after a short brawl that allowed Allin and Hardy to continue the match by themselves.

As the bout continued, Allin turned the tides in his favor. Once the superstars began to take the fight backstage and throughout the arena, Hardy slowly wore himself down from taking too many hits. Toward the end of the match, the fight ended up back by the ring, and the battle reached new levels of intensity. Both Hardy and Allin climbed up on the stage, where Hardy landed some big shots to Allin and attempted to powerbomb him down to the floor. But the champion hit Hardy below the belt to avoid the maneuver.

After he chased Hardy down to the commentary table with Sting’s bat, Allin proceeded to assault the challenger with it. He then placed Hardy on the commentary table and climbed up the massive lighting rig behind it. In a breathtaking moment, Allin jumped off the structure and hit Hardy with a vicious Coffin Drop that gave Allin the win.
