Ken Shamrock Challenged By NYC Boys & Girls Club Kids To Game Of Rock-Paper-Scissors

Does Sham-rock always beat paper and scissors? We’ll find out next week.

IMPACT Wrestling has announced Ken Shamrock will be on hand to visit the Variety Boys & Girls Club in New York next week, and the “World’s Most Dangerous Man” has also been challenged to an old-fashioned game of roshambo.

According to a press release from IMPACT, the final round of a week-long tournament among the youngsters at the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at the Club, starting at 5 p.m. ET. Shamrock will be on hand at the event to compete in a game of rock, paper, scissors, challenging a student representative from the Variety Club who wins the tournament. If the student is able to defeat Shamrock, he or she will be awarded a one-night-contract to serve as a “Special Manager” for an IMPACT Wrestling match on Thursday night, Nov. 7, at Melrose Ballroom during the promotion’s next set of AXS television tapings.

The media and public are invited to attend the one-on-one, best-of-7 Rock-Paper-Scissors Championship, to be held at the Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens, located at 21-12 30th Road in Long Island City.

“We are so excited to have the legendary UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock come to the Club to battle our afterschool kids in this Rock-Paper-Scissors Championship. I can’t wait to see our kids beat him,” said Charles Melone, Athletic Director at the Variety Boys & Girls Club.

“IMPACT Wrestling has a long history partnering with local charities in the cities that we visit and the Variety Boys & Girls Club has hosted IMPACT Wrestling stars for years for basketball, dodgeball and other interactive activities and games,” said IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore. “Ken Shamrock is an intense, competitive former World Champion. I know he won’t go easy on the Club kids in Rock-Paper-Scissors.”
