Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is going to be making some changes to their lineup when the company makes its way to Houston, TX for the Royal Rumble in January of 2020.
According to Meltzer in his latest Observer Newsletter, the original plan for Houston was to have the Royal Rumble take place at the Astros’ Minute Maid Park while three other shows would go down at the Toyota Center, but that has changed. The Rumble will still go down at Minute Maid, RAW will take place in San Antonio, SmackDown will occur in Dallas and there will be one event scheduled for the Toyota Center on January 25 which will be called Worlds Collide. The reason for the change being that the Toyota Center could not commit to all four dates. Worlds Collide will likely not be associated with NXT TakeOver due to the current plan being for the brand to not have their shows during the weekend of big WWE events.
