One of the longest-running complaints about current WWE wrestling is the script. Announcers and wrestlers alike are kept to strict wording that sometimes sounds as if it came from space. As noted by the Wrestling Observer newsletter, those inside WWE seem to have gotten the memo.
This past week on Raw, promos given by Sasha Banks, Bayley and Mysterio were all done without word-for-word scripting. The wrestlers were given bullet points and told to speak what comes naturally. This is similar to how Kevin Owens and Daniel Bryan have been treated on SmackDown, and it’s believed that there’s a “movement” by some in the company to try to do it for as many people as possible.
