Kurt Angle took part in a Q&A session on his Facebook page where he spoke about a wide range of pro-wrestling related topics.
During the Q&A, the WWE Hall of Famer and former WWE Champion was asked about why he never made a serious run at competing in UFC.
Although Angle could have pursued an MMA career, he never did due to the injuries that he had in his amateur wrestling career and over the course of his time in the wrestling business.
“I was a light heavyweight, although I could have fought in the heavyweight class as well. I never had the chance to do MMA because I knew deep down, my neck injuries were too severe to compete in the octagon. I had lost a lot of strength in my arms due to my neck injury, that would have left me vulnerable for arm bars. It only got worse the 2nd time I broke my neck in 2003.”
Angle was also asked about his thoughts on the future of Bray Wyatt.
“I like the gimmick. It should do extremely well.”
