The IIconics came up short once again and next time their women’s tag team belts will be on the line. During today’s WWE house show in Tokyo, the tag match between Kairi Sane and Asuka against the champions had a stipulation that if the challengers won they would get a title shot. The Kabuki Warriors managed to do just that.
In the end it was Kairi Sane’s incredible elbow drop that ended the night for the IIconics. Peyton Royce wasn’t able to kick out of it and now the SmackDown tag team will get a title shot at an upcoming event. It’s not yet announced when it will happen, but it would make sense to put it on WWE Extreme Rules.
