On today’s episode of Busted Open Radio on SiriusXM, Bully Ray once again dove into the “cool” factor of All Elite Wrestling. He said that it will be a key reason why AEW has a shot at being a true alternative to WWE in the future.
“All Out will be very indicative of what will happen the first week of TV for AEW,” said Ray. “Especially if another name gets added to the mix. There’s so much rumblings about it being in Chicago and what if Punk shows up, but they already have a crew right now that has a coolness factor that only comes every once in a while in pro wrestling. No other company has the coolness factor that AEW does. … It’s a fun product.”
Ray continued by pointing out the key factor that it’s finally giving fans a legitimate alternative. “You’re enjoying yourself [watching the product] and it’s an alternative. A lot of the fanfare is because people have been bugging for an alternative to WWE … a huge alternative that will be airing on TV that reminds them of the “Monday Night Wars.” Even though it won’t be a Monday night war, it’s as close to it as possible. There are people out there that want the WWE taken down in one shape or form.”
