Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reaffirming on the latest episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez that Alexa Bliss and Natalya are both officially in Saudi Arabia. He states that both are “ready to go” for a potential match at WWE Super Showdown on Friday, but it is currently unknown in WWE as to if the match will actually take place or not. A quote by Meltzer from the episode is below:
“As of a few hours ago, nobody knew. I haven’t heard anything in several hours. I know at that point in time, nobody knew. The women didn’t know, they’re there. I mean, they’re hoping that they’re going to wrestle on the show, I think they’re going to wrestle on the show, but nobody knows. And it’s up to the Saudi government.”
“They’re there. They’re there, ready to go, so that will be the match Alexa Bliss and Natalya.”
It was reported yesterday by PWInsider that Natalya was indeed making the flight to Jeddah and Pro Wrestling Sheet later reported that Alexa Bliss was flown in as well in hopes for a women’s wrestling match to take place on the Showdown card, but WWE still stands at Saudi Arabia’s discretion.
