Pentagon Jr. is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed leg injury after a bump during this Monday’s IMPACT Wrestling TV tapings in Toronto.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Pentagon was injured in the triple threat match at this week’s tapings that saw him facing off with Johnny Impact and Michael Elgin. The spot in question saw Impact attempt a hurricanrana on the apron, but Pentagon took the bump wrong and hurt his leg on the landing. Live reports from this week’s tapings said Pentagon needed help getting to the back after the match, which was confirmed by the Observer report. Pentagon wasn’t involved in the rest of the match, and had his leg taped up since then. It was noted that an early indication was that Pentagon stretched a muscle in his leg and he initially could not put any weight on it, but he was feeling better the following day. Meltzer also noted that based on how the spot went down, Pentagon is lucky he didn’t suffer a more serious neck injury.
Pentagon Jr. is not currently scheduled for this weekend’s television tapings at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, but is expected at the Slammiversary PPV event on July 7th in Dallas.
