Dave Bautista Officially Retires From WWE: ‘I Had A Hell Of A Run.’

Dave Bautista has officially retired from WWE. Last night The Animal lost to Triple H with the stipulation being that if Hunter loses, then The Game would indeed be over from taking place in the ring. Bautista legitimately had the same stipulation in mind for himself whether it was win or lose and he confirmed it last night via social media as he issued a statement to fans:

To all the @wwe fans across the world that gave me the opportunity to suspend your disbelief, thank you. From the biggest part of my heart thank you for letting me entertain you. Tonight was my story book ending and I wanted to leave you with all I had to give. I’ll miss this theater of violence more than I can express in words but I am officially retiring from Sports Entertainment. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, I leave in great health, and without a doubt the show will go on. I had a hell of a run. Thank you for the journey

During last night’s no holds barred battle, Bautista was the recipient of some painful looking moments as Triple H took pliers to his nose ring and a wrench to his fingers as he and his old foe went back and forth in one wild match before Ric Flair came to ringside to help finish his movie star friend off to preserve Triple H’s in ring career.

Batista leaves WWE a four-time world champion in three separate runs with the company. The Animal will aim to continue his ongoing championship-like run in Hollywood.
