As promised, The Miz appeared on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live in order to respond to what Shane McMahon said last week. He didn’t have any kind words for his former WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship partner.
He started off by talking about how great it was to be with Shane McMahon. “You know, it was all to prove to one man, I just wanted him to be proud of me, my dad,” said The Miz. “When my dad stood in this ring it was the first time I ever heard him say ‘I love you.’ It was one of the greatest moments in my life.”
However, things took a turn. “Shane you are a conniving, terrible human being. You are rotten just like your father. You weren’t born the best in the world, you’re a McMahon, so you were born the worst. You think you’re special just because you’re a billionaire? You’re not. You may own this company, but you don’t own me!”

Miz went on to talk about his work ethic and called himself a “proven success story.” Saying that he earned his dad’s love and he earned the love of the audience too. The crowd cheered for the former WWE Champion and chanted, “You deserve it.” He responded with, “Damn right, I do.”
He concluded with a great line. “Shane, you deserve the one thing you earned by yourself, an ass whooping by me at WrestleMania.”
