WWE has confirmed reports by the Tampa Bay Times that Wrestlemania 36 will take place in Tampa, Florida:
As first reported by the Tampa Bay Times, WrestleMania 36 will emanate from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Fla., in April 2020.
WWE will officially announce next year’s home of The Showcase of the Immortals today at 11 a.m. ET in a star-studded press conference, streaming live on WWE’s YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channels.

Hillsborough County commissioner Ken Hagan offered the following statement to the Times, saying “We are honored to bring WrestleMania back to Florida. The week of WWE events will not only bring excitement to fans, but also generate a significant economic boom for Tampa Bay’s economy.”
WWE’s Saboor noted that discussions with Bay area officials were ongoing for the better part of 10 years, with the Tampa Bay Sports Commission originally hoping to land the marquee event in 2023, 2024 or 2025.
It was also noted that Wrestlemania Axxess will take place at at the Tampa Convention Center. This marks the fourth time Florida will host a Wrestlemania event; Wrestlemanias 24 and 33 took place in Orlando, while Miami hosted the 28th event.
