Authors of Pain manager Drake Maverick was interviewed outside the men’s locker room at tonight’s Royal Rumble. According to Maverick, he had a recent conversation with WWE CEO Vince McMahon, who has granted Maverick and his Authors of Pain a unique RAW Tag Team Championship opportunity.
Maverick stated, “I’m the manager of AOP and I have their best interest at heart. Akam is injured. Rezar of AOP, he very much wants to be one of the RAW Tag Team Champions again. I also was informed by Mr. McMahon that so does The Revival, so we’ve been given an opportunity, an unconventional one, but a welcome one. This opportunity is Rezar of AOP teaming with Scott Dawson of The Revival.”
Maverick continued, “I know it sounds different, but an opportunity like this – if this team wins, that means both The Revival and AOP can be in line for a future RAW Tag Team Championship opportunity down the road. Rezar is all in on this. I hope Scott Dawson is, as well.”

The unconventional duo of Rezar & Scott Dawson will face RAW Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable on the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show and if they can pull off a victory, will get a future championship opportunity for their team.
