PWInsider is reporting that Finn Balor is going through an illness rather than actually injured, which what was initially reported. Balor was sent home early from the South American tour that prevented him from performing at Buenos Aires, Argentina, but it’s likely that Balor will be ready to go for Sunday when he faces Drew McIntyre at WWE TLC in San Jose, CA.
Balor was not in attendance for last night’s RAW due to the illness and the television audience was repeatedly told by Corey Graves, Michael Cole and Renee Young that “The Demon King” was injured. This was in reference to the attack Balor was a recipient of at the hands of Drew McIntyre ast week on RAW after interfering in the Scotsman’s singles match against Dolph Ziggler.
McIntyre seemingly closed out his grudge with Ziggler by defeating him clean last night and then Claymore Kicking his head flush into the ring apron. This may all be a haunting foreshadow for Balor, who due to said illness and improper booking, may just become TLC fodder for arguably RAW’s hottest male act in McIntyre.
