Shinsuke Nakamura made his presence on SmackDown Live a brief one, as he assaulted Rusev before their match.
The WWE United States Champion has had a rough couple of weeks heading into this match, losing to Rey Mysterio on SmackDown 1000 and Seth Rollins at Survivor Series. Facing worthy competition head-on probably got into his head, as he attacked Rusev from behind before their non-title match even begun. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes with Nakamura showing frustration in his previous losses.
