AJ Styles retained the WWE Championship at Super Showdown in Melbourne, Australia on Saturday in a vicious match against Samoa Joe. On the same evening, Daniel Bryan may have put a temporary end to his decade-long feud with the Miz. As a result of these two bouts, the WWE Championship match at Crown Jewel is set to be one of the more anticipated matches of the year. The match was made official in the immediate aftermath of the Miz/Daniel Bryan bout. The pair met in a televised contest on the post-Wrestlemania SmackdownLIVE, but that bout ended without a definitive finish. The WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia on Nov 2 will feature the dream match live on the WWE Network.
