It’s been a rough year for former IWGP Champion Kazuchika Okada. Not only did he lose his belt to current titleholder Kenny Omega, but he was recently stabbed in the back by his longtime manager Gedo, who aided Jay White in a beatdown of the “Rainmaker.” Seeing how they are two of the main members of the stable CHAOS, it puts the face of New Japan Pro Wrestling in an awkward spot.
Tokyo Sports recently caught up with Okada, and tried to get some clarification on whether he was still a member of CHAOS. “I do not even understand,” said the frustrated wrestler. “Did the [Gedo and Jay White] leave or have I been exiled? Because I do not know who is in [the stable]. I have not talked with [stablemate Tomohiro] Ishii yet.”
Things should start to become clearer at Sunday’s NJPW Fighting Spirit Unleashed show, where Okada will team up with Ishii to take on the Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi).
